Bon début pour ce groupe, cette album est tout simplement magnifique si on aime tout l'univers pirate, mention honorable pour la chanson "capitain morgan's revenge" qui s'écoute en boucle (malgré ces 7 minutes)et a la version des dix ans de l'album

Sans être un monument du métal, cet album est efficace et bien couillu, le tout mélangé avec de bonnes tranches d'épique (coucou le pont de Captain Morgan's Revenge) et de convivialité (Of Treasure, Nancy the Tavern Wench).
Le côté True Scottish est pleinement assumé, notamment avec Flower of Scotland... l'hymne de l'Écosse. Ils ont osé... et le résultat est très sympathique.

Si vous faire hurler dessus par un pirate fortement alcoolisé (avec du rhum, bien sûr) pendant 45 minutes ne vous rebute pas, foncez !

Je suis fan de Power et de Folk Métal et je tiens à dire que cet album est absolument génial ! J'espère qu'ils durerons plus longtemps que semble le dire la chro' ^^

Sorti de nul part, ce premier album offre quelque chose de frais dans le milieu du power metal qui se mord la queue depuis longtemps. Arrivant avec un concept original(les pirates) Alestorm déverse tous les clichés du power sans tomber dans la parodie. Hymne après hymne, captain morgan's revenge s'immice doucement en vous. L'envie vous prends de trinquer avec des pintes de rhum tout en récitant à plein poumons les refrains efficaces du disque.RAISE UP YOUR PINT OF RUM!
